Privacy notice
How I look after your information
This notice explains what happens to your personal information when you visit michelle-is-your-coach.com, register for the 5-Day AI Revenue Challenge, email me, book a call or join the Aligned Empire Telegram community.
Kairos has its own notice, at kairos.michelle-is-your-coach.com/privacy, because it handles different information.
1. Who is responsible
Michelle is your Coach (Pty) Ltd, trading as Aligned Empire, registration 2017/294327/07, 94 Poplar Road, Kyalami, Gauteng 1684, South Africa. The company is the responsible party under South Africa's Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA) and the controller under the EU and UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) for the information described here.
Michelle Nolting is the Information Officer. For any privacy question or request, email michelleisyourcoach@gmail.com.
2. What I collect, why, and where it goes
| Information | Why, and the legal basis | Where it is held |
|---|---|---|
| Challenge registration: your first name and email address, and the date, time and internet address you registered from | To send you what you registered for: the welcome email with your workbook, a reminder the day before, one exercise each morning from 2 to 6 November 2026, and related challenge information, including what comes next on Day 5. Basis: providing the free challenge you asked for. | MailerLite, my email service, which is based in the EU (Lithuania) |
| Occasional emails after the challenge, only if you tick the optional box | Business insights, resources and information about my programmes. Basis: your consent, which you can withdraw at any time. The registration date, time and internet address are my record that you agreed. | MailerLite |
| Email delivery and engagement: whether a challenge email was delivered, opened, or a link in it clicked | To check the emails reach you and to see which exercises and emails are useful. Basis: legitimate interests in running the challenge and my emails well. You can object at any time. | MailerLite |
| Emails you send me, and my replies | To answer you. Basis: legitimate interests, or steps you ask for before working together. | Gmail (Google) |
| Booking a discovery call: your name, email and anything you write in the booking form; the call itself | To arrange and hold the call. Basis: steps you ask for before working together. | Zoom |
| Technical information when you visit: internet address, browser type, the page requested and when | To deliver the website and keep it secure. Basis: legitimate interests in a working, secure website. | The website hosts (Vercel for the challenge pages, Netlify for the main website), kept according to their own log schedules |
The occasional emails after the challenge go only to people who ticked the optional box, which is never ticked in advance. Every email has an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing stops all of them straight away, including any remaining challenge days.
3. The Telegram community
Joining the Aligned Empire Telegram community is optional. The challenge works fully by email without it. If you join, your Telegram name, profile picture and messages are visible to other members, and Telegram handles that information under its own privacy policy. I do not copy Telegram members' details into my email list.
4. Cookies
The challenge pages set no cookies and use no analytics or advertising trackers. Their fonts are stored on the same site, so loading a page does not contact Google.
The main website loads its fonts from Google Fonts, which means your browser sends your internet address to Google when the page loads.
5. Who else receives it, and international transfers
The providers named above process information on my behalf: MailerLite (email), Vercel and Netlify (website hosting), Google (Gmail and, on the main website, fonts) and Zoom (calls). Several are based in the United States or may give staff and subprocessors access from outside South Africa and the EU. I rely on their data processing agreements and the transfer safeguards in them, such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses, and I assess transfers under section 72 of POPIA and Chapter V of the GDPR.
I do not sell your personal information, and I do not share it with anyone for their own marketing.
6. How long I keep it
- Challenge only: if you didn't tick the optional box, your details are removed from my email list within 30 days after the challenge ends on 6 November 2026.
- Occasional emails: until you unsubscribe or ask me to delete you. Contacts who haven't opened any email in 12 months are removed.
- After you unsubscribe: MailerLite keeps your email address marked as unsubscribed so that you are not emailed again by mistake. Ask me if you want it deleted entirely.
- Emails and booking details: as long as needed to deal with your enquiry or our work together, and any period the law requires for business records.
- Technical logs: according to the hosting providers' own schedules.
I limit access to these accounts to myself and use their security features. No system can be guaranteed perfectly secure.
7. Your rights
Depending on the law that applies to you, you can ask to see the information I hold about you, correct it, delete it or restrict its use, object to processing based on legitimate interests, receive a copy in a portable format, and withdraw your consent at any time. Withdrawing consent does not affect what happened before you withdrew it. I may need to confirm your identity, and I may keep information where the law requires it.
To make a request, email michelleisyourcoach@gmail.com. I aim to respond within three working days, and always within the time the law allows.
You can also complain to a supervisory authority: in South Africa, the Information Regulator; in the EU, your local data protection authority (in Greece, the Hellenic Data Protection Authority); in the UK, the ICO.
8. Changes
I will update this notice when what I do with your information changes, and change the date below. If a change affects something you consented to, I will ask you again.
